  • 2015-Present: Conductor of the Bilbao Young Symphonic Band (Bilboko Gazte Banda), cultural association. Feasts, events, processions, concerts, etc. Arranger of the works and songs that the band play, with over 30 works arranged in the repertoire (and 4 original compositions) so far and increasing.

  • 2017-Present: Percussion, harmony, hearing education and analysis proffesor/teacher in the Félix García Music Academy of the Llodio's Municipal Band.

  • 2017, 2018 and 2019: Collaborator as percussionist in the Bilbao's Municipal Band under the baton of José R. Pascual Vilaplana in the Euskalduna Conference Centre and Concert Hall and in the Bilbao's Conservatory. The band has also performed "THE HIMALAYAS SUITE" during their 2022-23 concert season.

  • 2017-Present: Singer (countertenor and tenor) and percussionist in the Bilbao's Cathedral Music Chapel, currently the "Ars Canticum Ensemble" choir. Arrangements: "The Promise of Living", "The Mission Suite" and "Nuestra Debilidad".

  • ​2018-Present: Percussionist in the charangas Sama-Siku (member), Gazteleku, Ku-Klux, Guretzat, Ustekabe and El Despiste (collaborator).

  • 2022: Awarded the First Prize in the "XXVI Composition Competition for Choirs" organized by the B.A.E. (Bizkaiko Abesbatzen Elkartea) / Federation of Choirs of Vizcaya - BBK Grand Prize - The Four Seasons of the Year for the work "LUCES DEL AÑO" (Lights of the Year).

  • 2022-Present: Percussionist and assistant conductor at the Bohème Young Orchestra, performing in the Teatro Monumental.

  • 2023: Recognized with the SILVER MEDAL at the GLOBAL MUSIC AWARDS as composer for the work "THE HIMALAYAS SUITE" in the category of classical composition.

Born on May 13, 1998 in Bilbao. He began his musical studies at the age of 5 in Llodio and soon chose percussion as his main instrument and piano as a secondary one. He began to form part of the Municipal Band of Llodio where he acquired great experience in musical interpretation and symphonic language and in the orchestral sphere, at the same time that he became a percussionist. In 2013 he began his professional studies at the J. C. Arriaga Conservatory in Bilbao, studying percussion at while he was specializing in the field of composition. During these studies, he received several Masterclasses from renowned musicians, both in the compositional and interpretative field in different stylistic genres. He ended up graduating in 2019 from the conservatory, along with the Bachelor of Performing Arts, Music and Dance. After the entrance exams to Superior, he was accepted and offered partially scholarship place to study Composition at the prestigious Royal College of Music (London), but decided to study two careers in the specialties of Composition and Orchestra Conducting at the "Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid", achieving numerous honors. Graduated in Conducting in the 2022-23 academic year and in Composition the following year. He successfully completed the Master's Degree in Composition for Audiovisual Media at CSKG and is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Teacher Training (UPV).

 

Today he is still a member of the Llodio’s Wind Band, other bands and groups, several fanfares and charangas, as well as singing in the choir of the Music Chapel of the Cathedral of Bilbao, currently “Ars Canticum Ensemble”. He has been chosen as a member of the jury in national and international music competitions. He has also collaborated on several occasions as a percussionist in the Municipal Band of Bilbao, participating in several premieres at the Euskalduna Palace’s auditorium under the baton of maestro José R. Pascual-Vilaplana, who has commissioned him to write a piece for the band. Besides performing, he also conducts a small band (Bilboko Gazte Banda /"BGB") where he is in charge of arrangements, compositions and engagements. He has experience in teaching, as he teaches percussion, musical language, chant, harmony and auditory education in various academies and music schools, besides having conducted bands, orchestras and choirs of medium and superior grade and other semi-professional groups in Bilbao and Madrid (National Auditorium of Music, Teatro Monumental, Museo Nacional del Prado and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía). He has also worked as an orchestrator and arranger on many occasions.

His compositional repertoire has also been programmed in monographic concerts and, to date, includes more than thirty works for symphonic orchestra and mixed choir SATB (symphonic portraits or poems, programmatic music...), vocal music, band and soloist, chamber music, piano (solo or with voice), etc. Most of them have been publicly premiered by professional ensembles (for example, in the 2022-23 season of the Bilbao Municipal Band) in Madrid, Valencia (including the International Band Contest – CIBM in the Palau de Les Arts), San Sebastián, León, Galicia, Bilbao and surroundings; with appearances in press, TV, radio and internet, some of them being awarded prizes in international composition competitions (1st and 3rd Prizes BAE, Silver Medal in the Global Music Awards, etc.) and being guest conductor in some of them. His catalog continues to grow and he continues to receive commissions for different groups, including the soundtrack of several short films (local and USA) with a nomination for Best Original Score by IRTVE.
